Aaliyah Mariana Granados Cortez was 16 years old, born in Denver, Colorado on September 25, 2006 to Wendy Cortez and Jose Granados. She has a total of 10 siblings; Jona, Jenni, MiMi, Kiza, Ryah, Berpa, Nena, Esme and Jzo; her step siblings Azucena and Antonio; her step parents Daniel Gonzalez and Maria Isabel; her nephew Eli Roman; her brothers by heart, not by blood Czo, Josh, Tintin and Daidai and her best friends Michelle Uriarte and Janeya Rodriguez. Her maternal grandparents are Elvira Roman and her husband Arturo and Rafael Cortez. Her paternal grandparents are Maria and Manuel Granados.

Aaliyah was very talented and determined, she was an upcoming nail tech. She wanted to professionally do nails. Her biggest joy were her baby siblings Nena and Jzo, which she loved and spoiled dearly.
