Consuelo Chaves

Consuelo “Connie” Chaves, age 27, passed away on October 3, 2025, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Born on November 15, 1997, in Denver, Colorado, Connie brought warmth and joy to all who knew her throughout her life.

Connie was a devoted mother to her three beloved children: Ana Chaves, Ayla Hernandez, and Adrian Hernandez. She shared a deep and loving bond with her intimate partner and the father of her children, Jose Hernandez. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

She is also survived by her siblings Frank Osborn, Jesus Chaves, and Jade Chaves; her father Jesus Chaves Sr.; and her grandmother Vivian Osborn. Connie was preceded in death by her mother, Roberta Chaves.

A vibrant spirit with a heart full of love, Connie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved hiking in the mountains and fishing trips with Jose and their children—moments that brought peace and serenity to her soul. Family gatherings were especially meaningful to Connie; she delighted in cooking for barbecues, birthday parties, and holidays. Her food was more than nourishment—it was an expression of love that brought people together.

Connie’s intelligence and creativity shone through in everything she did. She had a gift for making others laugh and was known as a jokester whose humor could light up any room. Her presence brought comfort and happiness to those around her.

To those who knew her best, Connie was more than just a daughter, partner, mother, sister, granddaughter, or friend—she was the heart of every gathering and the soul of every shared moment. Her memory will live on through the traditions she helped create and the love she gave so freely.

One of Connie’s most endearing legacies is a simple phrase that became a family tradition: “Bye luv.” From the time she could talk, Connie would say it as a farewell to those she loved—and now it echoes lovingly among family members as they remember her. “Bye luv,” they’ll continue to say—for Connie and because of Connie.

Connie will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to all who carry her spirit forward. Bye luv, Connie—we will keep your memory alive forever. Luv you.
