Debra Ann Agnew (April 1, 1957 – April 1, 2025) passed away at 68 in her beloved home state of Colorado. Known for her sharp intellect, kind heart, and generous spirit, Debra touched the lives of many with her warmth and creativity. She found joy in acrylic painting and stained glass, crafting vibrant works that reflected her artistic passion. She was also a dedicated letter writer.
Debra had a deep appreciation for nature and animals, especially the landscapes of Colorado. She often visited Garden of the Gods, enjoying its striking rock formations and peaceful surroundings. She found comfort in the presence of animals, whether caring for pets or observing wildlife.
Debra graduated from New Braunfels High School, Texas, in 1975 and went on to further her education, earning her post-secondary degree from Texas Lutheran College (TLC) and Southwest Texas State (SWTS).
Her professional career was marked by commitment and excellence. She proudly served as a GS5 at the Air Force/NORAD/Peterson, where she earned numerous Awards of Excellence for her dedication. Her work was more than a job—it was a testament to her discipline, integrity, and unwavering dedication to service.
She was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Kenneth and Mollie Agnew. Their love and guidance shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings—Alan, Karen, Kevin, and Craig.
Debra’s faith in Jesus gave her strength and peace. She lived with confidence in His love and promises and is now at rest with her family in her heavenly home.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, in Denver, CO, to celebrate her life.
