Erminda Mary Chacon

Erminda Mary Quintana Chacón, 97 was surrounded by loved ones as she was called home to be with The Lord on January 18th, 2024 at her home in Westminster, CO 

Erminda was  born on December 9th, 1926 in El Cerrito, NM to Florencio and Agneda Quintana.  She was the second of 18. 

Erminda graduated from the 8th grade in El Cerrito, NM. 

Erminda met the love of her life Eddie Chacon in 1952 at a diner she worked at in Ault, Colorado. The two fell in love and were married on December 10th, 1952. 

Erminda and Eddie started a family of their own and their children meant the world to them.  They had 4 daughters  Hazel, Betty, Josie, Manuelita and 1 son Juan. 

Erminda retired from The Keebler Company after 20yrs of service. 

Though  Erminda loved being a mom she shined being a grandma and great grandma. She treasured her time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and was the one to give them their first bath. 

Erminda was a caring and loyal friend she developed deep friendships during church and work. 

Everyone who knew Erminda recognized how much she loved and cherished her family. She disciplined and instilled good morals. Although she was feisty she had a cute personality. 

Erminda will be remembered for being a hard worker, strong, loving and caring woman. Erminda’s memory lives on in the hearts of all those who loved her. 

Erminda proceeded in death by her husband  Eddie Chacon, her Daughter Manuelita Cisneros, her parents and some siblings. She is survived by her children, Hazel Perea of Thornton, CO, Betty Garfio of Denver, CO, Josie Chacon of Westminster, CO, Juan  Chacon (Stephanie Paul) of Westminster, CO, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. 3 brothers Arturo Quintana, Vidal Quintana and George Quintana and 1 sister Lydia Saiz. Numerous   nieces, nephews and friends. 

Services will take place on Wednesday February 7th, 2024 beginning at 11:00am at Latina Funeral Homes 3020 Federal Blvd Denver, CO  80211.
