Jorge Alonso Garcia

June 1, 1988 — December 10, 2023

It is with heavy heart that we share the news of Jorge Alonso Garcia's passing. He was born in Denver, Colorado on June 01, 1988, and sadly, he was called to eternal rest on December 10, 2023, after a sudden decline in health due to being struck by a vehicle.

Alonso was only 35 years old. He attended Remington Elementary School, Horace Mann Middle School, and North High School. Alonso grew up in the Sunnyside neighborhood, where he enjoyed spending time at the Boys and Girls Club. He won various awards for his skills in pool, ping-pong, and self-proclaimed fastest runner. After leaving North High School, he pursued a career as an Asbestos worker through the International Environmental and Safety Training Program, where he worked for over 10 years in the field.

In 2019, Alonso met his partner Subrina, whom he saved from a violent environment. He promised to cherish and love her. They discovered they were expecting their daughter Lizbeth in 2022. Alonso was thrilled to welcome his daughter into the world, and he vowed to be a loving and devoted father. He knew the importance of a father's love, having grown up without his own father.

Alonso is survived by his girlfriend Subrina, his daughter Lizbeth, his mother Maria, and his siblings Alex, Pedro, Valerie, Priscilla, and Karla.

On behalf of the Garcia family, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has offered their support and condolences. If you would like to make a donation in Alonso's memory, please consider contributing to Lizbeth's college fund. This was Alonso's wish, and we want to honor it in his memory since he is no longer here. Please make the donation out to Karla, and it will be used to provide Lizbeth with the best possible future.
