Juan Jose Luna
February 23, 1959 – July 5, 2025
Juan Jose Luna, 66, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on July 5, 2025, in Englewood, Colorado. He was born on February 23, 1959, in Durango, Mexico, to Julian Luna Loera and Candelaria Martinez Luna.
Juan was a hardworking man with a deep love for his family, the land, and music. He built his life on dedication—both to his work and to those he loved. He worked proudly as an irrigation technician and was also a determined businessman, never shying away from a challenge and always striving to provide for his family.
In 1981, Juan married Esther Sandoval in Vail, Colorado. They soon made their home in Denver, where they raised their six children. His love for the outdoors was unmatched—he found joy in hunting, fishing, and simply being in nature. But music was where his soul truly lived. A gifted guitar and bass player, Juan filled his home and heart with rhythm, leaving behind melodies that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Juan is survived by his beloved wife, Esther Luna, his mother Candelaria Martinez Luna and his children: Gheisa (Lorenzo Gallegos), Juan Jose Jr. (Angel Luna), Serena (Chuy Morales), Jeanede (Larry Barela), Nathania (Cristian Venegas), and Juan Angel. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, extended family, and friends who loved and admired him deeply.
His presence was strong, his heart generous, and his legacy lasting.
