Marie Lupe Pozo

Marie Lupe Pozo 1935 – 2024, 

 Marie Lupe Pozo passed from this world, to be with God in his kingdom on January 16^th, 2024, in Arvada, Colorado. She was 88 years old.

 Marie was born on October 31^st, 1935, and was the 9^th of 10 children born to Jesus and Juanita Martinez. Married to James Evans Sr. and to Jose Pozo, Marie lived a fruitful life and displayed Christian values of love, commitment, gratitude, and fortitude which carried her through the good and bad times she encountered.

 Marie, also known as Lupe, retired from Mountain Bell, US West after a long career, and enjoyed many friendships made at work. Marie loved being with her children, grandkids, and great grandkids, along with many nieces and nephews. Two of her many gifts were making family and those she knew feel special in their relationships, and her enduring strength which lasted until the moment of her passing.

 Mom was always proud of her family and was proud of the accomplishments of so many from her family who have college degrees, and careers such as nursing and other professions.

 Marie was a good cook making great green chili, red chili, Lasagna, and other meals, passing down tasty recipes. She liked to go to Bingo with her family, and to Blackhawk where she hit a jackpot.

 Mom, grandma, aunty Marie, will always be remembered for the love she gave and her authenticity. She passed at home in a very peaceful state into the loving arms of God. We honor her life with us and could not have asked for a better soul to know and love. Although we will miss her immensely, her memory will live on in our hearts as we strive to be better people because of her.

 The funeral and celebration of life will be Wednesday, January 31^st 2024. Your attendance is appreciated.
