Marilyn S. Sanchez

Marilyn Susan Sanchez, 71, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from complications following minor surgery.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Anthony Atencio (Anika) and their children; her daughter, Franchesca Sanchez, and her child; and her siblings, Dolores “Marylou” Folkenroth, Silvano “Eugene” Atencio, and Jeannette Romero. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who loved her dearly.

She is reunited in glory with those who preceded her in death: her father, Silvano Atencio; her mother, Angela Atencio; her sister, Genevieve Barron; and her brother, Joseph Atencio.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled following the holidays, with details to be shared with family and friends.

Marilyn will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and the deep love she had for her family.
