Mildred Baker passed away suddenly on October 7, 2014. Mildred was born in 1924 in Denver, Colorado to Robert Collins and Minnie Sullivan Collins. She graduated from Manual High School in 1942. Mildred married Gerald Baker in 1945 and they had two sons, Clifford and Clyde. They moved to Commerce City in 1955 and she worked for Booth-Rouse Equipment Co. for 24 years. After she retired she joined the Commerce City Music Makers and participated in the group for 27 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce City which became Open Door Fellowship Church of Commerce City which became Good News Community Church since about 1963.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald in 2005. She is survived by her sons Clifford Shirley Baker of Greeley, CO and Clyde Terri Baker of San Antonio, TX. She is also survived by her sister Vivian Jella of Denver, CO and Cousin Donna Hernandez of San Francisco. She also has four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
