Naomi Martinez passed away peacefully in her home in Denver, Colorado at the age of 64 on March 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 04, 1959, to Viola and Lucio Martinez, and has a daughter named Doreen whom she cherished deeply.
Naomi worked hard and tirelessly as a single mother to provide for her daughter, whom she considered her entire world. She was a pillar of strength, always relying on her faith and determination. Her three grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she was a devoted and supportive grandmother to them, once they were born, they stole her heart. She loved going to watch Isaiah play baseball and football, watching Alyssa perform for dance and attending her choir concerts and attending Gianni’s Karate events. She was one of their biggest fans. Even on days she was sick, she would put on her mask and smile and cheer for them as if nothing was wrong.
She shared a close bond with her son-in-law Clyde and enjoyed friendly banter over the Bronco and Raider games, she loved her Broncos. Naomi has four siblings with whom she shared a strong bond, particularly enjoying casino trips with her sister Vivian, they would stay out all night gambling. She also loved listening to her music and dancing.
Known for her unwavering love and generosity, Naomi was always willing to help those in need. Her legacy of strength, love, and courage will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Naomi Martinez is survived by her daughter Doreen (Clyde) Gallegos, her grandchildren Isaiah, Alyssa and Gianni Gallegos, her sisters Loretta Martinez, Vivian (George) Gonzales, Diana Martinez and her brother Benny Segura as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Viola Martinez, her father Lucio Martinez, her sister Doreen Martinez, her niece Michelle Martinez and nephews Larry and David Martinez.
A memorial service will be held at Latina Funerals and Cremations, located at 3020 Federal Blvd, Denver, Colorado to celebrate Naomi's life and legacy from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Following the Mass, Naomi will be buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, located at 12801 W. 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 at 1:30pm.
