Rebeca Orejel Montalvo's Obituary

Sus programas favoritos eran Dead Like Me y Medium.

ENGLISH VERSION

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Rebeca Orejel Montalvo, who was born on February 2, 1972, in Mexico City, Mexico, daughter of Jorge Orejel and Felicitas Montalvo. Rebeca departed this world on February 9, 2026, in Aurora, Colorado.

Rebeca is survived by her beloved husband, Salvador Domínguez Torres, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage. Together they built a beautiful family. She was the mother of five children, who were her greatest treasure: George, whom she had as a teenager with her previous husband (who also passed away years ago), and later, with Salvador, she welcomed Janet, Lesley, Gabriela, and Gabriel.

Everyone loved the way Rebeca cooked. She always prepared abundant meals—whether with many or just a few ingredients—and everything she made was delicious, especially her salsas and homemade corn tortillas. She enjoyed watching movies starring Nicolas Cage.

Rebeca deeply loved animals. She had a bird named Pablo and three dogs: a German Shepherd named Reina, a Husky named Luna, and a very spoiled Chihuahua named Chucky. She also cared for a large fish tank and even fed stray cats.

She loved plants and devoted much time to caring for them. She always looked forward to her husband coming home so they could have dinner together. Weekends were her favorite days because she spent them with her husband, her daughter Gabby, and her youngest son Gabriel, enjoying movies, cooking, and sharing good meals.

She was a woman deeply devoted to her faith and constantly prayed for her family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved telling jokes and making people laugh.

Rebeca greatly enjoyed her work at the University of Colorado Denver hospital, where she formed many meaningful friendships, especially with her dear friend Marcela, who was always by her side.

Although her children George and Janet moved out of the state of Colorado, she always stayed in close communication with them. She was a loving grandmother to her granddaughter Luzia and her grandson Sebastián. She also loved her sons-in-laws Joseph, Dustin, and Ray. She loved her nieces Dayana, Vivian, Melissa, and Diana who would spend the night at her house when they were growing up.

She enjoyed films by Pedro Infante and classic black-and-white movies. Her favorite shows were Dead Like Me and Medium. She also loved spending time outdoors, going camping, and traveling in the RV with her husband and children. Recently, she and her husband had purchased another RV and had many plans to travel, but sadly life did not allow her the time to fulfill them.

She is also survived by her brother Jorge and her younger sister Matilda. She is now reunited with her older brother Miguel, whose passing caused her great sorrow.

Rebeca loved oldies music as well as Mexican music. Above all, she loved her husband and her family deeply.

Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
