Norma Gonzalez Guzman

July 25, 1981 — September 26, 2020

Norma Gonzalez Guzman, 39, of Aurora, CO, loving mother of Normita (18) and Leo (8), beloved daughter of Felipa Guzman Hernandez and Mario Gonzalez Panuco, adored sister of Ramona, Lorena, Azucena, Yuliana, Karina, Beatriz, Mario, Daniel and Eduardo, dear aunt to many of her siblings offspring and longtime partner to Greg Matchett unexpectedly passed away on September 26th 2020.

Norma will be lovingly remembered for her warm and open heart, her effervescent smile that could light up the world and most of all, her devotion to her family.  Together Norma and Greg built a loving home for Normita, Leo and Zach and Gianna (Greg’s children) and Norma made it special and unique.  No holiday or birthday went by without Norma making it special with lots of love for all, thoughtful gifts and wonderful meals and traditions.  Norma and Greg are both excellent cooks and they loved to cook for the children, and Norma added the spices from home that made the family’s meals extra delicious.  Norma sang songs, told stories of her youth and smiled that beautiful smile while making a wonderful home every day for her family.

She was a very beautiful and fashionable woman with an outfit and a pair of shoes for every occasion. She loved trying different looks, and costumes even some with masks for each situation; and she loved to dance to any type of music. For many years she cared for Normita as a single mother while working to support her.  Norma was loving, fun, fearless, brave, courageous, kind, fiercely independent, and the most loving, sweet person one could ever imagine.

Every day she would prepare Leo for school, be there with hugs when he needed them and happy to read and play the endless games of childhood with him.  She cared for Leo with a bottomless well of love.  Norma was the founder of her own business with many clients that love her.  She was a great entrepreneur while being an amazing mom.

Norma kept immaculate gardens in and out of the home full every kind of flower you can think of and added all the little things that make a house a home with handmade artistic sayings like, “It all started because two people fell in love and “Together we are Family”.  There are bird feeders, wind chimes, colorful flowers, beautiful other plants and things that make the landscape of home uniquely hers.

She was very talented and creative with art pieces she created, painting birds, vases, and cross-stitch that captured nature in all its beauty.

Norma also loved the outdoors and she and the family had many excellent experiences together. The family frequently visited the Rocky Mountains where they took hikes, went on star walks, camped, were one with nature and prepared gourmet meals under the stars.

Norma went all out for the holidays and decorated the inside and outside of the house so nicely that every holiday took on a whole new meaning because every detail was created with love and had meaning behind it.

She was a beautiful soul who will be deeply missed. memorial contributions could be made to Latina Funerals & Cremations and also www.gofundme.com/f/memorial-fund-for-norma-gonzalez
